This website was created by David Freeman to help educate and inform the public about the history of the Nuclear Ship Savannah by exploring the ship´s design, construction, voyages, and the crew and passengers that sailed on her.
The Savannah is owned and maintained by the Maritime Administration, and is licensed and regulated by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The primary purposes for this website is to provide contemporary information about the Savannah and its NRC-licensed activities to interested members of the public, and to provide information about events and activities scheduled on the ship. They add content periodically, so please check back from time-to-time to see what´s new.
